• Q: What do I do if my tutor / student did not show up for a scheduled session?

    A: E-mail your tutor / student asking him or her why he or she was unable to attend the meeting, and come to an agreement as to whether or not a makeup session is necessary. Both students and tutors can be busy at times so try to be lenient.

  • Q: What should I do if my tutor / student has consistently not shown up for scheduled meetings?

    A: If you have already tried e-mailing your tutor and talking to him or her in person without success, please e-mail us at colonelby.tutoring@gmail.com so we can resolve this issue. If necessary, a new tutor or student can be arranged.

  • Q: I have just signed up as a tutor / student. What do I do now?

    A: Once you have signed up, it may take a few days for us to process your information. Once that is done, we will arrange an introductory face to face meeting between you and your tutor / student, but from then on it is your responsibility to establish a schedule with your tutor / student.

  • Q: I would like to change my tutor / student. What should I do?

    A: Please e-mail colonelby.tutoring@gmail.com with your request, giving the name of your current tutor and the reason for your request.

  • Q: What do I do if I want to tutor for CAS/volunteer hours?

    A: Pick up a tutor tracking form in the opportunity room(rm. 256) and make sure that your student signs it for each session. Alternatively, you can download the form here. After you fill it, hand it to your guidance counselor for them to verify.

  • Q: Do you provide tutors for students not attending Colonel By?

    A: No.
